According to the announcement of Hong Kong Civil Aviation Department (HKCAD), cargo fuel surcharges (CFS) will be liberalised effective 1 January 2025. Airlines may set their own CFS or choose not to levy such surcharge based on commercial and operational factors. Hong Kong Air Cargo’s CFS will be liberalised for outbound shipments from Hong Kong starting at 00:00 on 1 January 2025, Hong Kong time.

Cargo Fuel Surcharge

With effect from 00:00 on 1 January 2025, Hong Kong Time, Hong Kong Air Cargo’s cargo fuel surcharge will be:

*Long-Haul refers to: Africa, Americas (North America, Central America and South America), Europe, Middle East, Australia, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Saipan

**Short-Haul refers to: South-East Asia, South Asian Sub-Continent, South-West Pacific, Japan, Korea (except Australia, Bangladesh, India, Maldives, Saipan)
